The stamp from 100 proof press are made in wood and the wood mount is smooth hard maple, 3/4" high with curved sides. The design is never bulky. They always use a mount which is custom cut to fit the image that goes on it. The images are deeply etched and then expertly trimmed on a scroll saw, thus providing an amazingly close and perfectly perpendicular cut. Nothing prints better. All stamp are made to order.
