TSL ENGINEER TOTE BAG ( light brown)

The engineer bag, made of extra-thick No. 4 canvas and finished with a painted bottom, has been produced continuously since the brand's establishment and is a symbol of The Superior Labor.
Kurashiki canvas, which can only be woven two rolls a day on a shuttle loom, brass fittings made at a foundry in downtown Tokyo, and domestic tanned leather tanned with tannin extracted from mimosa bark.
Craftsmen make each item by hand, including sewing, painting, washing, and assembling, in a workshop located in a renovated abandoned school located deep in the mountains of Okayama.

The logo is boldly stenciled on the canvas body. A tanned leather pocket is sewn on the opposite side. In addition, the paint applied to the bottom not only serves as a design accent, but also increases strength, prevents the bag from losing its shape, and provides some degree of waterproofing. Another feature is that the expression of each material changes as you continue to use it, and the flavor increases. This is a bag that you will want to continue using for a long time while enjoying the change in texture.

The bag comes with two internal pockets for organizing small essentials like your phone and keys. The top closes with a sturdy brass zipper so that your belongings in the bag are safe and secure as you carry your bag. The flap for the top zipper can be completely opened and out of your way so that you could easily carry oversized items.  

The canvas looks great with a pop of painted colors on the bottom (which not only looks amazing visually but also keeps dirt off from the canvas significantly!). I am sure you will find one of their paint options to compliment your unique style. All materials are carefully sourced in Japan and bags are made in The Superior Labor maker's studio in Okayama prefecture where they turned an old elementary school into a unique workshop space.
