Kurashiki canvas, which can only be woven two rolls a day on a shuttle loom, brass fittings made at a foundry in downtown Tokyo, and domestic tanned leather tanned with tannin extracted from mimosa bark.
Craftsmen make each item by hand, including sewing, painting, washing, and assembling, in a workshop located in a renovated abandoned school located deep in the mountains of Okayama.

The logo is boldly stenciled on the canvas body. A tanned leather pocket is sewn on the opposite side. In addition, the paint applied to the bottom not only serves as a design accent, but also increases strength, prevents the bag from losing its shape, and provides some degree of waterproofing.
